Dr. Zhou was born on 2 February 1988 in Yantai, China. He majored in Biology Engineering in Qilu University of Technology since 2007, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in 2011. After this, he came to Donghua University with Prof. Yanzhong Zhang and received his Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering in 2014. Then, he started as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Dr. Patrick van Rijn and Prof. Henk J. Busscher at Department of BioMedical Engineering, University of Groningen/University Medical Center in Groningen, the Netherlands.

His research interests include Electrospinning, Nanofibers, Biomaterials, (Nano)Biointerface, Cell-Material interactions, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, and Developmental Biology.
